Something quick

It has been a busy weekend and my allergies are running amuck so I haven't felt like crafting much. My DH and I went to JoAnn's on Thursday night and discovered that the project carts were on sale for 20 bucks. Always a bargain hunter I grabbed Flower Shoppe and I have to say that this is probably one of my newest favorites! (My all time favorite is Create a Critter which has decided to play hide and seek with me). I am currently working a big project with this cartridge and will post pictures as soon as it is done.

My DH is a big gamer and there was a convention in Indy over the weekend and of course we had to go. While it was ok, it caused me to miss the FedEx man bringing my CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge. Who knew that FedEx isn't open on Sundays and Mondays. So no new cartridge until Tuesday :( But I will at least have it for my crafting play date on Tuesday night.

On to the things that you really want to see. My latest crafty projects. I'm always looking for great ideas and I'll admit that sometimes I scraplift something I really love. The following card is one that I have scraplifted but added a few of my own touches to it.

I added buttons and shiny gem stones to make the flowers a little flash and used a SU stamp for Happy Birthday. I enjoy making cards for others and love to see the look on their face when they open it. I used the imagine and Walk in my Garden to cut the various flowers and fill them with different patterns. It turned out much better than I even thought it could.

Another big project that I finished this weekend has been my niece's birthday invitations for her party. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of it before giving them to my sister-in-law.

At my last crafting play date, I was very productive and managed to complete seven cards in about 4 hours. If only every time I sat down to craft was so productive.

While the first three are not my favorites at all, I had an assistant (a little cousin) who wanted to help so I let her have some say in where things went. The pirate card is one that I started trying to show her how to place things for the maximal effect. I think she'll be creating things on her own very soon.

going to try and finish a few more projects before calling it a night. Last week of clinicals starts tomorrow and then I will be free to craft to my hearts content in the evenings. yay!
